WHAT IT’S ABOUT
Comedian Christopher Titus has gotten divorced. This has caused a lot of stress and problems for him, but it also have given his audience some great material for his stand-up act. In his live concert “Love Is Evol,” Titus dispenses his unique blend of white trash philosophies that examines love, relationships and an unflinching view of marriage and dating.

WHAT I LIKED
In general, I like most stand-up acts to a certain degree. What I really appreciated with Titus in this special is that he didn’t fall into the same traps that most comedians do when dealing with relationship material. I’m not a prude, and the comedy he delivers in this special is far from squeaky clean, but he manages to put a unique spin on things without just dropping the f-bomb throughout the bits.

I am fortunately enough to have found a wonderful wife, and most of his material is funny to me but not from first-hand experience (thank god). However, I do know several people who fit into the scenarios that Titus presents in this stand-up special. And for those people, the comedy would be even funnier if it weren’t so true.

Christopher Titus gives a raw look at relationships and answers many questions that people are afraid to ask – like why women don’t like briefs and why men shouldn’t wear crocks. And the fact that Titus refuses to jump on the politically correct bandwagon makes him okay in my book.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE
Overall, the delivery that Christopher Titus uses is somewhere between Tim Allen and Chris Rock. It’s a comfortable zone for myself, so I don’t take many issues with his stand-up.

DVD FEATURES
The extra features are a little slim, but they include a behind-the-scenes look at the Cupid photo shoot for the cover box, a set of interviews with fans coming out of his show and a fourteen-spot countdown to Valentine’s Day featuring Titus’s biting wit about the day for lovers.

WHO’S GOING TO LIKE THIS MOVIE
Chris Titus fans and anyone who knows someone going through the same relationship crap that he talks about in the show.
