The greatest thing that I can say about “Corey in the House,” the spin-off series from “That’s So Raven” is that there is no Raven in the show. The show follows Corey Baxter as he moves into the White House with his father Victor (Rondell Sheridan), who has recently been hired as the White House chef. Like “The Suite Life with Zack and Cody,” this Disney Channel show puts a mischievous kid in an upscale location, allowing him to cause havoc.

Without Raven (who unfortunately does appear in one episode as a guest star), the cast is far less annoying. Kyle Massey has a knack with slapstick and humor. Co-stars Maiara Walsh and Jason Dolley play Corey’s friends, who end up in messy situations with him. Jason Dolley channels Jason Earles from “Hannah Montana” while Brazilian cutie Maiara Walsh forces her accent a little too much without quite hitting a stride like Anneliese van der Pol from “That’s So Raven.”

Still, like “The Suite Life,” “Corey in the House” hits a broad audience and scores with plenty of physical humor and slapstick. Episodes featured include “Never The Dwayne Shall Meet” (guest starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson,” “That’s So In the House,” “Air Force One Too Many” and “Just Desserts.” Also included are revealing interviews with Massey and Raven, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at The Rock’s guest appearance.

"THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACK AND CODY: SWEET SUITE VICTORY"

Now a bona fide hit on the Disney Channel, “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” is out with a new DVD. “Sweet Suite Victory” features three episodes from the popular show, which follows troublemaking twins who live in a swanky hotel. With Zack and Cody’s characters bringing in the male audience, Brenda Song and Ashley Tisdale bring in the female audience as the rich daughter and the candy-counter girl, respectively.

Fans of the show are going to love the admittedly small collection of episodes on this disc, showing the boys as 11 year olds, not as cute as they were when they started the show. However, the series is paced well, and it balances slapstick with teenybopper drama.

The episodes feature the twins having a fall-out from their indie band, both of them vying for class president and then London (Song) and Maddie (Tisdale) trying to one-up each other with their sweet sixteen parties. The DVD includes a gag reel and a trivia challenge that’s harder than you might think... unless you’re an avid reader of “Tiger Beat.”

Is it just me, or is “High School Musical” taking over the planet? There’s been a movie, there’s a sequel, and now there’s a concert tour. The cast (minus Zac Efron, who was shooting “Hairspray” at the time) took a trip through 40 cities, and the Houston stop was put on DVD.

This 90-minute concert is condensed into an hour for the package. It features the cast from the movie, with Drew Seeley in the role of Troy Bolton. Telling an abridged version of the film, the stage show features live singing and a big-screen backdrop showing scenes from the film. Additional songs are performed by Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu and Ashley Tisdale from their solo albums.

The DVD comes with featured songs from concert opener Jordan Pruitt, a backstage look at the touring show and a chance for fans to cut together their own version of the concert with an interactive U Direct selection process.

No worry for “High School Musical” fans. There’s also a live ice show and a stage play coming on tour. And with “High School Musical 2” in the bag, look for another sequel in about a year, I’m sure.

"HANNAH MONTANA: POP STAR PROFILE"

MOVIE: *** (out of 5 stars)
DVD EXPERIENCE: *1/2 (out of 5 stars)

    STARRING
Miley Cyrus as HANNAH MONTANA/MILEY STEWART
    Emily Osment as LILLY TRUSCOTT
    Jason Earles as JACKSON STEWART
Billy Ray Cyrus as ROBBIE STEWART
    Mitchel Musso as OLIVER OKEN

    Rated TV-G
    Studio: Disney Channel

In the grand tradition of the Disney Channel cross-pollinating their stars between television and music, “Hannah Montana” incorporates both of these into one show. Miley Cyrus (daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, who plays her father on the show) plays a mild mannered schoolgirl who lives a double life as the uber-popular pop star Hannah Montana.

In the second DVD single of the series, fans are treated to four episodes, which introduce another child star character named Jake Ryan (a veiled “Sixteen Candles” reference?) to be the nemesis/boyfriend to Miley. There’s also a guest appearance by the freakishly disproportional Dolly Parton.

The show is definitely cute, with Miley Cyrus holding it together. She’s a good singer, and she has presence. Hopefully with her dad on set with her, she won’t wig out like former Disney Channel stars Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Still, the funniest members of the cast are Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley’s brother Jackson. They provide the slapstick comedy and great chemistry, making them more fun to watch than Miley herself.

Bonus features include a candid real-life interview with Miley Cyrus as well as a live concert performance of her song “Nobody’s Perfect.”
