David E. Kelley’s hit dramedy about a Boston law firm reached an all-time high with season three of “Boston Legal”, now available on DVD.
“Boston Legal” is just as much about the cases as it is about the lawyers. Crane, Poole and Schmidt is the most highly-regarded law firm in Boston. Partners Denny Crane (William Shatner) and Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen) along with Alan Shore (James Spader) and others work the cases while creating all sorts of courtroom chaos.
Jeffrey Coho (Craig Bierko) joins the firm this season and exceeds Denny Crane’s showboat persona in his self publicity tactics. Coho takes the lead on the major case that starts off the season. This murder trial spans several episodes and might have the most shocking conclusion of the season.
The man called “Hands” is back this season trying to sort out some intimacy issues, a feisty midget shows up to sue then win the heart of Denny Crane and Shirley gets held hostage.
All in all, “Boston Legal: Season Three” is outrageous as ever. Bizarre and controversial cases, strange characters and personal drama to boot, “Boston Legal” has what everyone is looking for in a lawyer-based program: humor amidst the murder.
