ABOUT THE MOVIE
At this year's MARCON science fiction convention in Columbus, Ohio, 7M Pictures joined forces with MagicHouse Productions and MassiveWorks to make a movie with the kids attending the conventions. "The Revenge of the Red Shirts" was developed in the weeks leading up to the convention.
On Saturday morning, the kids of Marcon were cast in various roles of this "Star Trek" fan film. The entire principal photography took place on Saturday afternoon, and the actors were filmed completely on a green screen set.
"The Revenge of the Red Shirts" was edited throughout the night, and CGI effects were developed and rendered overnight as well. The cut was assembled for a premiere on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. for the Marcon kids and their parents.
