Columbus, Oh., January 28, 2003 - Last night, the nationally-syndicated entertainment news show Access Hollywood ran a promotional story about the upcoming ABC television reality program Are You Hot? The Search for America's Sexiest People. Featured in that story was 7M Pictures' C.E.O. Kevin Carr, as his popular Internet character Gus. Are You Hot?, a new reality show from the creators of The Bachelor, features a search for the hottest people in America and is expected to be the reality television event of the year. Carr and his fellow filmmakers from Columbus traveled to Chicago earlier this month for an open call for the show. Carr, who tips the scales at around 300 pounds, wore his standard red tank top and orange hunting cap. He auditioned along with approximately 250 other contestants in Chicago, many of which were professional models. Are You Hot? also held auditions in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Atlanta, Minneapolis and Tampa. "I stood out like a sore thumb," said Carr about his audition. "However, people seemed to warm up to me relatively quickly." Carr was certain that he would be cut from the competition immediately, however, to his surprise, they loved him. "I just went out there and had some fun," said Carr. "And they seemed to like my energy and good nature." Although finalists for Are You Hot? have not yet been announced, Carr remains positive that the nation hasn't seen the last of Gus. "I guess their definition of 'hot' isn't just a certain body type, but someone who can have fun and doesn't take himself too seriously," he said. "Be sure to watch for me when the show premieres on February 13." Gus can be seen in various short films on the 7M Pictures web site www.7mpictures.com.
